A federal law passed in 1998, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, makes it clear that materials published on the Internet are protected by U.S. copyright laws. The best all-around source for copyright information about any medium is a site called, appropriately, the Copyright Website.

Bottom line: All materials that appear on a web page are copyrighted, automatically and by default. This applies to more than the actual posted material, like photographs and other images, backgrounds, navigational items, etc. Also covered are more subjective but measurable factors such as layout, design, software architecture, site concept, and other conceptual areas that are covered by laws similar to those which protect artists, musicians, and other creative folks.

Our intention is creating and maintaining this site is solely to disseminate information about the Maynard Lake subdivision and its homeowners association. We solicit and accept no compensation for any work of any nature on this site. Thus, any visitors may reproduce, transmit, copy, or share with others any of our content in any manner desired.

The only stipulations are that no fee may be charged for anything acquired from this site, and the copyright notice at the bottom of all pages be maintained in any reproduction, transmission, link, or other means of distribution.

Thanks for your cooperation and we hope you enjoy your visit!
